Kafilat T. Jimba-Bidmus, Ph.D., MPH, is a public health researcher and consultant with over a decade experience in successfully conducting clinical and public health research in Canada and the United States.
Her extensive research on mental health, early childhood development and child welfare, substance abuse, health disparities, maternal health, cancer, behavioral addictions, and other healthcare topics have led to the development and implementation of beneficial public health programs.
Over the last decade, she has worked closely with health care educators, families, universities and faith-based groups to help provide insight and solutions to health care issues in diverse communities.
Dr. Jimba-Bidmus has authored papers published in peer-reviewed scientific journals such as the Journal of Community Medicine & Health Education.
She obtained her B.A. in Psychology, a Masters of Public Health (MPH) in Urban Health Administration and her Ph.D. in Community Health Promotion and Education.
She is very passionate about public health in general leading her to have a good grasp of how important it is to dialogue about public health issues and learning from one another. She feels it is relevant to get factual and up-to date information that concerns the overall health of our family, friends, and loved ones. One of her goals is to continually addressing challenging public health issues confronting our communities.
She is happily married with 3 adorable children. She sews and loves to cook for family and friends. She is dedicated to her family, friends, and community and is always willing to lend a helping hand.
